As we are familiar with an "orchestra," which generate music that moves people with symphonic performances beautifully blending the unique sounds of various instruments, our research group aims to be an "Orchestra of Chemistry" that achieves science which expands new intellectual territories. We value the individuality and perspectives of each person, and by combining the abilities that each team member brings, we aspire to discover new research that cannot be reached by one person or a single research field. We share this mind and vision in our laboratory and believe that through our research journey, all members will grow together.

In fact, many of our studies are accomplished through the fusion of multiple different disciplines, such as synthetic chemistry, computational science, and physical chemistry. This allows us to develop the ability to synthesize new molecules and molecular crystals and to evaluate their structures and properties, such as molecular motion and photo-physical properties. In addition, we are taking advantage of the integration with various different fields to promote research with new concepts. To achieve this, it is necessary to have the ability to understand and explore different fields, to create ideas on one's own, and to communicate them effectively to others. However, this is not something that can be done suddenly but requires training. Our laboratory provides seminars and research environments to cultivate these abilities so that after our members graduate, they will have the capacity to excel in different fields, whether in academia or industry, domestically or internationally.
